Today I decided to see where I'm at for flexibility.

A middle aged woman wearing skates and stretching on the floor.

When you need to work on breaking in skates, but also need to stretch.

Really hoping to eventually get my big bad outside spread eagle back.

I used to do it as an entry for an axel - THAT will not happen again, LOL (The house is a mess. YIIIIIKES.)

A large woman holding one leg over her head.

First time I've tried THAT in years

SO I'm nowhere near as flexible as I was 25 years ago, BUT...

1. Not bad for 320 lbs
2. Not bad for almost 40
3. Not NEARLY as bad I figured it would be!

We're watching "To The Worlds" this evening, so of course it has me ~thinking~.

Bad ideas abound! (Tried a Bonaly, it did not work)

Hey, I'm Marie!

I skated as a kid, and have been making the long, rough road back as an adult.

This time, I have a husband to drag along with me :)

I started back in early 2019, and ran into dual roadblocks in 2020 - the pandemic, and being severely crippled by FOUR PILLS of Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic that destroyed most of the tendons in both of my feet.

Oh, and pancreatic cancer. Fun stuff.

I've learned to walk again, and in October 2021, I started back. Again.

Here's where I'll chronicle the whole mess!
