I’d posted back in March that my Flexibility Needs Work.

I’ve felt kind of bad about sort of dropping the ball on off-ice work, to focus on actual skating. I really need to get back to it!

I think this one has improved:

A large woman holding one leg over her head.

… but I’m no closer to getting a full Biellmann back, LOL.

I also did some splits-off-the-wall stretching, thinking I was going to try doing the old end to one of my routines – I’d go down in the splits and then back up to being up on one knee, without putting my hands down.

Well, I got down in the splits, and noped out of going any further.

Holy crap, I had no idea how strong I was, back in the day!

Hey, I'm Marie!

I skated as a kid, and have been making the long, rough road back as an adult.

This time, I have a husband to drag along with me :)

I started back in early 2019, and ran into dual roadblocks in 2020 - the pandemic, and being severely crippled by FOUR PILLS of Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic that destroyed most of the tendons in both of my feet.

Oh, and pancreatic cancer. Fun stuff.

I've learned to walk again, and in October 2021, I started back. Again.

Here's where I'll chronicle the whole mess!
