Omg! You guys!!

Today was my first day on the new blades (Coronation Ace).

A pair of white figure skates.

I knew it would be a big difference, because not only were the Aspire 8′ radius, the spin radius had to be a mile wide – if it even existed, LOL.

Today for the first time since coming back, I hit the sweet spin spot and just sat on it till I got too dizzy to continue!

It feels SO good to be back!

Back in the day, spinning was my THING… and it’s been so weird to not be able to hit the right spot.

Hey, I'm Marie!

I skated as a kid, and have been making the long, rough road back as an adult.

This time, I have a husband to drag along with me :)

I started back in early 2019, and ran into dual roadblocks in 2020 - the pandemic, and being severely crippled by FOUR PILLS of Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic that destroyed most of the tendons in both of my feet.

Oh, and pancreatic cancer. Fun stuff.

I've learned to walk again, and in October 2021, I started back. Again.

Here's where I'll chronicle the whole mess!
