Today we went into Toronto so Porter could go to the Toronto International Auto Show.

I took advantage of this trip to finally go skating at Nathan Phillips Square for the first time!

We brought our skate bags with us when we got on the Go Train, and went straight to the rink, before the show.

It was a gorgeous day, the ice was beautiful, and it wasn't too crowded!

Not to get too mushy, but it was really nice to experience the first time there with my awesome husband, who actually took up skating for me <3 Glove hands held above skates and ice below.

Hey, I'm Marie!

I skated as a kid, and have been making the long, rough road back as an adult.

This time, I have a husband to drag along with me :)

I started back in early 2019, and ran into dual roadblocks in 2020 - the pandemic, and being severely crippled by FOUR PILLS of Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic that destroyed most of the tendons in both of my feet.

Oh, and pancreatic cancer. Fun stuff.

I've learned to walk again, and in October 2021, I started back. Again.

Here's where I'll chronicle the whole mess!
