OMG!

We were going to go to Niagara falls for a scenic walk, but decided to stop by the La Grande Hermine shipwreck en route instead.

La Grande Hermine Shipwreck.

La Grande Hermine Shipwreck.

I figured I’d walk on a little sand, maybe just a couple of the rocks to get a better picture, but everything ended up feeling good.

We were out for about 30 minutes, and I walked about half a km over big uneven rocks, trail, and even a short amount of beach.

My feet held up beautifully!! WHAAAAT? I might actually be on my way out of this Cipro nightmare!!!

LOOK AT WHAT I WALKED OVER!!!!

I walked about half a km!

I used to looooove climbing on rocks when I lived in Newfoundland. I’d drive out to cape spear and crawl out as far as I could, just to the point where I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get back, then Spiderman my way out of it.

(Sorry, I’m feeling a little badass at the moment)

I did have hubby hold my hand to help me across some of the larger openings / bigger steps down/up, but only like 3 times, I think? Just for stability.

I took a hot soak when I got home, but aside from my landing knee being crabby (let’s be real, it’s been crabby for decades, off and on), everything feels fine so far!

Holy crap!

I have NO idea what’s going on, but I seem to have turned a FAST corner on my cipro tendon recovery!

Hey, I'm Marie!

I skated as a kid, and have been making the long, rough road back as an adult.

This time, I have a husband to drag along with me :)

I started back in early 2019, and ran into dual roadblocks in 2020 - the pandemic, and being severely crippled by FOUR PILLS of Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic that destroyed most of the tendons in both of my feet.

Oh, and pancreatic cancer. Fun stuff.

I've learned to walk again, and in October 2021, I started back. Again.

Here's where I'll chronicle the whole mess!
